El Pedró
Description
El Pedró (1,765 m) is one of the most significant and highest peaks in the Serra del Catllaràs (Alt Berguedà), forming part of its central core along with Serrat Negre (the massif's highest point) and Cap de la Baga de Fontanals.
This summit, considered one of the 100 emblematic peaks of Catalonia by the ICGC, features gentler, more rounded shapes than others in the range. A geodesic vertex pillar is located at its highest point. It offers extensive views over the Llobregat valley and the Pre-Pyrenean landscape.
It is important to note that the area of El Pedró is a protected and restricted zone for the nesting of the Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus), a species highly sensitive to human presence.
