OpenStreetMapDescription
The Pic de Montcalm, at 3,077 metres above sea level, is the main summit of the massif that bears its name and one of the easternmost three-thousander peaks in the Pyrenees. It is located entirely on the French side, in Ariège. Although it is not the highest in the massif (that honour belongs to the Pica d'Estats), it is often summited along with its neighbours. It is well-known for its common ascent from the Vicdessos Valley and for being the first three-thousander peak many mountaineers conquer coming from the east.
