Roca del Joc (Roca de la Devesa Jussana)
Description
The Roca del Joc (or Roca de la Devesa Jussana) stands at 1,615 meters in the Serra del Catllar脿s (Alt Bergued脿) and is a peak included in the FEEC 100 Peaks list.
This imposing limestone rock formation is known by various names such as Roc del Joc de Pilota or Roca de la Mare de D茅u. The ascent to its narrow and exposed summit is via a short but intense scramble through a chimney or crack, a section equipped with a grab iron and a rope (difficulty K1/K2).
The peak serves as a 360掳 natural viewpoint of the Pre-Pyrenees, offering clear views of Pedraforca, Cad铆, Moixer贸, and Tosa d'Alp. Furthermore, its nearby shady side, the Devesa Jussana, is a site of botanical interest where rare species like the edelweiss (Leontopodium alpinum) and the Lady's Slipper orchid (Cypripedium calceolus) can be found.
