Sobrepuny

OpenStreetMapDescription
Sobrepuny (1,653 m) is a classic and emblematic peak in the Berguedà region, standing out in the Serra del Catllaràs for its unmistakable silhouette shaped like an inverted keel, easily visible from the C-16 motorway. Although not the highest point in the range, it is an exceptional viewpoint rising between the municipalities of Castell de l'Areny, La Nou de Berguedà, and Vilada.
The summit is a wide, rounded, grassy expanse where a geodesic vertex and a flag are located. Its panoramic views are splendid, encompassing Pedraforca, the Serra d'Ensija, Rassos de Peguera, and Cadí. On clear days, the view can extend to Montserrat, the Central Depression, and even glimpse the sea line.
