Our first approach to the iconic Bellmunt mountain was an unexpected and charming discovery, despite not having ascended it on foot. Easily distinguishable in the landscape by its antennas, the iron cross, and the sanctuary that crowns the Bellmunt range, this visit rewarded us with spectacular views and an sunset from the summit.
This improvised ascent came about as a wonderful extension of a day dedicated to gastronomic exploration. After enjoying a relaxed breakfrast, we decided to cap off the day with a visit to Bellmunt. The morning was spent getting to know the Mas Clarella winery in Santa Maria de Besora, a true treasure we had discovered on previous routes to the Bufadors de Bevi and Castell de Besora.
At Mas Clarella, we were fascinated by their dedication to producing high-mountain wine, with vines cultivated between 880 and 1,000 meters of altitude.
