A Cold Day's Beauty: Engolasters Lake and the Camí de les Pardines

On January 12, 2025, we embarked on a refreshing 8.81 km winter walk, a perfect prelude to lunch. Our destination was the picturesque Engolasters Lake, which presented a stunning sight, partially frozen under the winter sky. Starting from Les Bordes de les Pardines, we followed the charming Camí de les Pardines, a path known for its beauty and tranquility.

The day was crisp and cold, truly embracing the winter spirit. However, the route offered welcome respite, as certain sections of the trail were bathed in warm sunlight, a detail we greatly appreciated. While the overall walk was straightforward, the winter conditions added an element of challenge and adventure. We encountered unexpected patches of ice, which, though they made the going a bit trickier, only added to the memorable experience of this serene winter ramble. This gentle trek provided an excellent opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy the tranquil beauty of the partially frozen lake, and breathe in the crisp mountain air before indulging in a well-deserved meal.
