Circular Hike to Roca Lladre from Les Preses
Performed on 6/24/2026
Description
On June 24, 2026, a 17.93 km circular route was completed, featuring the ascent to Roca Lladre, starting and finishing from Les Preses in Garrotxa.
The ascent began on a path that traverses extensive sections of forest and beech forest, providing shade during the climb. From Les Preses, the trail first leads to Volcà del Racó (Racó Volcano), continuing afterwards towards the Àrea de Xenacs. The route then proceeds with an ascent to Puig Rodó, which offers the first viewpoint of the journey.
Subsequently, the route follows the Serra del Corb (Corb Mountain Range), reaching the summit of Roca Lladre, the main objective of the day. After summiting, the trail continues through various cols until reaching Coll de les Lleixeres, from where the descent towards the Fageda d'en Jordà (Jordà Beech Forest) began, a section clearly marked with cairns.
Once in the Fageda d'en Jordà, the path passes by Can Jordà and the Gredera del Puig Jordà. From this point, the route includes a section of asphalted road where the temperature was notably high. Quickly, the journey begins an ascent again towards the Ermita de Sant Martí del Corb (Hermitage of Sant Martí del Corb), where a celebration with music was taking place, and the Ermita de Sant Miquel del Corb (Hermitage of Sant Miquel del Corb).
To close the loop, the route culminates with a final climb back to Volcà del Racó before finally descending to the starting point in Les Preses.
