Autumn at Sobrepuny

Description
A circular route combining the natural beauty of the high mountains with the local history of the Berguedà region. Starting near the Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Lurda (Our Lady of Lourdes Sanctuary), the ascent quickly took us into the forests of the Catllaràs Range, where autumn turned the beech woods into a mosaic of ochre and intense red.
We reached the two key points of the massif: the main peak of Sobrepuny and its natural viewpoint, Sobrepuny de Baix, which offered us the cleanest and most spectacular view. From there, the visual reward was immense, with the giant Pedraforca dominating the north and the elongated silhouettes of Montserrat and Montseny closing the horizon towards Central Catalonia.
The return route stood out for its cultural path, passing by the remains of the old mines, a silent reminder of the industrial activity that defined this valley. This blend of demanding scenery and historical heritage makes this 10.65 km route a complete experience in the Berguedà region.
