Dactylorhiza fuchsii on the road to Saut deth Pish

We found the Dactylorhiza fuchsii already on the way back from the Saut deth Pish by Car. This plant, notably taller and more robust, was still in good flowering condition, standing out among the vegetation.

Dactylorhiza fuchsii, commonly known as the Common Spotted Orchid, is a perennial terrestrial orchid widespread across Europe, including the Pyrenees. It is characterized by its dense spike of purple, pink, or white flowers featuring a distinctive, three-lobed labellum complexly spotted with dark patterns. It typically grows in damp meadows, open woodlands, and calcareous areas.
