The Last Bloom of Limodorum abortivum in Baix Empordà

I recently spent a delightful afternoon revisiting some of my favorite haunts in the Baix Empordà, those familiar spots known from previous years that always seem to hold a new surprise. As late April drew to a close, with spring well underway, I held out hope of discovering a late-blooming gem that was still holding strong.

And indeed I did! To my great satisfaction, I located the very last flower of a Limodorum abortivum. Despite being one of the final blooms of the season, the flower was in pristine condition.
