Neotinea conica: Expanding Our Search in Alt Empordà

Our ongoing exploration of the Alt Empordà region has once again rewarded us! During a day dedicated to orchid hunting, we were incredibly fortunate to locate a second population of the delicate Neotinea conica.

This new discovery is situated remarkably close to the site we successfully visited just last week, which confirms the species' presence across a wider area than we initially anticipated. It's always thrilling to see our observations expand, revealing the hidden botanical treasures of the landscape. Each new plant is a small jewel, reminding us of the crucial importance of preserving these precious Mediterranean habitats.
