Description
As part of a day dedicated to wine tourism in the Alt Empordà region, an opportunity was taken to conduct a supplementary orchidological foray. The activity began with a revisit to a known population of the orchid Orchis purpurea, with the aim of monitoring its status and flowering.
Subsequently, and before concluding the day, a trip was made to the Faro area. At this location, the objective was to observe whether the first specimens of the Ophrys genus had begun to emerge for the season, a task indicative of the commencement of spring flowering for these species.
