Performed on 5/31/2026
Description
Following a morning route completed at Puig del Far, located in the Osona region, the orchid field trip continued with a relocation to a specific site within Garrotxa. This second part of the expedition had as its primary objective the localization and observation of Himantoglossum hircinum, an orchid known for its distinctive shape and its presence in particular habitats.
The prospecting focused on exploring the designated area in Garrotxa, a territory that offers potential environmental conditions for the development of this species. During the excursion, a detailed investigation was carried out with the intention of recording any specimens of H. hircinum, documenting their condition and distribution at this new study point.
