Orchid Field Trip: La Selva and Garrotxa Regions

A recent field day led us to the regions of La Selva and Garrotxa, areas frequently visited in our schedule of orchid expeditions. This time, the exploration focused on six specific locations, all of which were already familiar from previous years, enabling us to maintain continuous monitoring of the populations.

The primary objective of this visit was to document the orchid species present at each site and record their current flowering stage. The route allowed for observation of the local flora's diversity and the evolution of orchid communities over time in these particular habitats. All findings were recorded, contributing to our archive of annual observations in these distinct regions of Girona.
